Application

Used in petrochemicals and shipbuilding etc, such as 00Cr22Ni6Mo3N (SUS 2205) duplex stainless steels containing 22%Cr.

Characteristics

The Welding Wire is a 22%Cr-8%Ni-3%Mo-1%N austenitic-ferritic duplex Stainless Steel Welding Wire. The deposited metal has the comprehensive performance of austenitic stainless steel and the anti-corrosion characteristics of ferritic stainless steel. The welding operation features a stable arc and the weld formation is well-formed.

Note

For MIG welding, the shielding gas flow rate should be maintained at 18-25 L/min using Ar+2%O2 mixture. Wind shields must be employed when wind speed exceeds 0.5 m/s.

For TIG welding:

Gas flow rate should be 5-14 L/min at welding currents between 15-200 A Gas flow rate should be 14-24 L/min at welding currents between 200-320 A

Pure argon must be used as shielding gas. Wind shields are required when wind speed exceeds 1.0 m/s.

Pre-welding requirement: Both MIG and TIG welding processes require thorough removal of rust, oil, moisture and other contaminants from workpieces.

Note: The above parameters serve as reference only. Users shall establish suitable welding procedures based on specific production conditions.
